1:8 – American Headway

Class Schedule:                Monday – Friday; 6 hours/day; 120 hours/month. Friday class is shortened.

Program Description

IELTS preparation course gets students equipped for the real exam. The focus of this program is to broaden skills on the test-taking strategies and to increase critical analysis skills of the students. Moreover, different teaching techniques are introduced in class depending on the level of the students.

This program is centred on the individual class for a more personal approach in teaching. Group class is for students’ exposure to native language and for easy grasp of the spoken test questions of the overall exam.

Different assessment methods are given to the students to measure their learning and progress in class. At the end of each month, a Re-assessment Exam and mock test are given to provide basis in determining the students’ level improvement.

Program Goal:

                The goal of this program is for students’ to increase IELTS band score, develop self-confidence in answering the exam and improve accuracy in speaking, reading and listening.

General Objectives:

  • Familiarize test format and test questions.
  • Identify all question types of the test.
  • Identify students’ weak skills.
  • Develop skills to essential to achieving a good score.
